Amber Fort: Located after a brief distance of 11 kms form Jaipur, Amber was the capital of the Kachhwaha rulers for around six years before the capital shifted to Jaipur. The Amber fort, also known as Amber fort is a complex of beautiful gardens, observatories with ancient equipments, halls of Mirrors, temples, a very big courtyard and much more. It has a lot to show you and you can also enjoy elephant ride over here.

City Palace: The City Palace offers you a complex of various mesmerizing buildings which once used to be the residence of the royal of Jaipur. The City Palace complex was built by the Maharaja Jai singh of Jaipur and his inheritors made additions to the City Palace complex. The complex comprises of various building including the Mubarak Mahal, Badal Mahal, Govind Devji Temple, Chandra Mahal and a museum. There are also beautiful gardens and big courtyards situated within the complex.

Jaigarh Fort: The Jaigarh Fort is named on the name of King Jai Singh II who built this fort in the year 1726. Almost 400 years old Jaigarh Fort is still well preserved; it is made of red sandstone and is connected by the Amber Fort through a sub terrestrial passage. Considered as one complex with the Amber Fort, it was actually built for the protection of Amber Fort complex. The world’s biggest cannon during the 17th century ‘Jaivana’ was made here and is on display along with other royal buildings like Laxmi Vilas, Vilas Mandir, Lalit Mandir, etc.

Jantar Mantar: It is one among the five observatories built by King Sawai Jai Singh II. He was an astronomer and he built it to satisfy his astronomical instincts to know the positions of sun, moon, constellations, latitudes, longitudes, etc. This is an instrument and the name has been derived from the Sanskrit word ‘yantra’.

Hawa Mahal: The palace of winds, as the name suggests this palace is known for its multiple breezy built. The palace was actually made for the queens and royal ladies so that they can watch the programs and celebrations going on in the palace through the windows as they were not allowed to come directly in front of the other folks. The palace has a total of 953 windows and is pink in color, truly amazing at sight it was built in 1799.
