Day 1- Arrival in Trivandrum
A representative will be greeting you after your most awaited arrival on the Trivandrum airport. He will then drive you to the hotel and guide you through the check in process. Trivandrum is the capital of Kerala. You can spend the rest of the day according to your choice either by relaxing or by exploring the city.
Day 2-Trivandrum to Kovalam (16 kms)
The first day to your Tour to Backwater Beauty of Kerala will begin early in the morning as there are many places to visit on the first day of your itinerary. Beginning from the Trivandrum Zoological Park and Kanakakannu Palace you will visit the very famous Shri Padmanabhaswami Temple. Then you will be taken to Kovalam, where you will see the Koavalam Beach Light House and witness the beautiful sunset at the beach.
Day 3-Trivandrum to Quilon (Kollam) (77 kms)
After you have had your breakfast, you will now be taken to Quilon, earlier known as Kollam. Quilon is known as the ‘Gateway to the Backwaters of Kerala’. The beautiful golden sand beaches of Quilon are a beautiful sight, Thangasseri light house is another spot to visit. Later return to the hotel and rest during the night.
Day 4-Quilon Houseboat
Today you will be taken for a stay in the houseboat. Kerala houseboats are among the prominent houseboats famous in the world. These houseboats are slow moving giant boats which are equipped with the most luxurious amenities for the customers. The houseboats are made wood called ‘Anjili’ tied together by ropes of coconut fibers. The stay in the houseboat will be really pleasant and memorable.
Day 5-Quilon to Kumarakom (118 kms)
Today your day will begin with a hearty breakfast and then you will be transferred to Kumarakom. After reaching Kumarakom, you will check-in in the resort or hotel. First we will take you to the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary situated on the banks of Vembanad Lake, the longest lake in Kerala, then you will visit Backwater Resort and enjoy fun water sport activities, then. Later in the evening you will be witnessing the beautiful picturesque view of the sunset on a cruise. Come back to the hotel for the night stay.
Day 6- Kumarakom to Thekkady (116 km)
The day begins with your breakfast, after which you will proceed to Thekkady. Upon reaching Thekkady check-in in the hotel and then proceed for the sight of the Spice Plantation farms and herds of elephants in the lush green backgrounds which will mesmerize you truly. Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary gives one awesome views of animals such as wild boars, Indian bison, sambhar, wild dogs, red fox, elephants and many more. Then you will return to the hotel and relax during the night.
Day 7- Thekkady to Vandenmedu (20 kms)
From Thekkady, you will be driving to Vandenmadu today. It is famous for the plantation of cashews and tea. The lush green farms spread across acres of lands will fascinate you. With whole day of extraordinary views of the beautiful agricultural landscapes you will return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 8-Vandenmedu to Munnar (67 kms)
After relishing your breakfast, now proceed to one of the most beautiful places in Kerala. Munnar is a hill station and a popular tourist place. In Munnar, you will feel like you are in heaven, beautiful waterfalls, and narrow road cutting from in between the tea plantations, hills covered with tea plantations, low flying clouds are all set to make you believe that you are in nature’s paradise. Return to the hotel in the evening and retire for the night.
Day 9- Munnar to Kochi (130 kms)
The next destination, Kochi is just at a 130 kms distance from Munnar. Kochi is the commercial capital of Kerala and an educational hub. It has the influence of the French and Portuguese culture. Here you will visit the Jewish Synagogue, Indo-Portugese Museum, Santa Cruz Basilica and temples. In the evening you can do some shopping in the local markets and return to the hotel.
Day 10- Kochi to Kozhikode (181 kms)
On this day you will move from Kochi to Kozhikode. Kozhikode is situated on the Malabar Coast in the state of Kerala. This is the place where Vasco-de-Gama landed and kept a foundation of trade in between the Middle Eastern, Chinese and African countries. Also called Calicut, it is the known as the ‘City of Spices’. You will be welcomed and guided by our representative in hotel check-ins, and then proceed for a tour to the vast spread spice plantations in Calicut.
Day 11- Kozhikode sightseeing
Today after having a delicious breakfast you will go for sighseeing in Kozhikode. Here you will take a day long ride to the sprawling green forest areas and the Kallayi River are the main attractions here. Return to the hotel and rest overnight.
Day 12- Kozhikode to Wayanad (88kms)
You will be transferred to Wayanad, the land of paddy fields. On the way to Wayanad you will enjoy sightseeing sprawling green fields and crop plantations on Paddy on both the sides of the roads. In Wayanad has the Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary spread over the area of 344.44 sq km where a huge variety of animal species can be spotted.
Day 13-Wayanad sightseeing
After a hearty breakfast in the morning; your Wayanad exploration will begin. In Wayanad you will see the Edakkal caves, Muthunga wildlife sanctuary and wide spread lush green plantations. You will be brought back to the hotel for rest overnight.
